About me

I am Manfred Rautenberg, born in 1947 on the German North Sea coast. My maritime works stem from a deep connection to the coastal landscape and personal impressions. Through my images, I aim to convey contemplative tranquility. Coastal spaces appear as poetic intermediate worlds, characterized by reduction, vastness, and meditative stillness.

As a graduate engineer, educated in the 1970s, my thinking is rooted in the precision of technical disciplines. For me, the journey from classical engineering to image creation with generative AI is not a break, but a logical progression. The combination of artistic vision and technological understanding gives my works their unique signature.

I use Artificial Intelligence as a powerful tool in the creative process. Each work is based on a clear conceptual approach, which I develop further through targeted design, careful selection, and post-processing. This creates visual worlds where human creativity and technological possibilities merge into a distinct artistic expression.

And by the way: My art is proof that innovation knows no age.

Education: Graduate Engineer, Technical University of Braunschweig (1974)
